Bridgestone Corporation (founded in 1931 by Shojiro Ishibashi) -  is the world's largest rubber company that manufactures diversified products such as; tires and tubes for cars, trucks and buses, construction and mining vehicles, industrial machinery, agricultural machinery, aircrafts, motorcycles and scooters, and other automotive parts, retreading materials and services, automotive maintenance and repair services, raw materials for tires, and other products.

BFGoodrich is a brand of tires sold by Michelin.

Goodrich Corporation and the Reavis family sold the rights to the name to Michelin in 1988. Previous to the sale, BF Goodrich was the first American tire manufacturer (since 1896). It made tires for the then new Winton car.

BF Goodrich tires have been fitted to several noteworth historical vehicles:

1903 The first car to cross the United States is fitted with BFGoodrich tires. 1927 Charles Lindbergh's airplane, the "Spirit Of Saint Louis," which made the first successful non-stop flight across the Atlantic, was fitted with BFGoodrich tires. 1977 The Columbia space shuttle is fitted with BFGoodrich tires during construction.

BF Goodrich have been involved with several competitions and enjoyed success with 17 victories in Baja Competitions and 5 times winner of the Paris-Dakar rally.
